Computer crashes to Blue Screen

If your computer crashes with BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error, follow the below steps to help us resolve the issue.

  1. Reboot the computer and see if it happens again.
    1. Yes = Continue to next step
    2. No = Try launching the same applications you had open last time that it crashed. Does it crash again?
      1. Yes = Continue to next step
      2. No = Possible one time fluke, keep an eye on it and follow the next steps if it happens again.
  2. Unplug any flash drives or external devices that may be plugged into the computer
  3. If any new hardware was just installed, uninstall it
  4. If possible, take a picture of the error with a cell phone and email it to us at support@waddellsolutions.com
  5. If not able to take a picture, take note of the following
    1. Error name
      1. This is at the top and in all CAPS with each word being separated by an underscore _
    2. Filename if displayed
      1. Examples: Win.dll, win.exe, win.tmp, etc
